Subject: [eacnetwork] Doylestown Borough EAC co-sponsors First Friday sustainable video discussionsWhat is "green"? More and more people want to know the answer to this question. We're only months away from the end of PECO rate caps, so you'll want to know. This Friday the Doylestown Borough Environmental Advisory Council (EAC), in cooperation with the Warminster Township EAC, will present a special First-Friday program on sustainable living. Learn about "going green" with local and regional experts who can answer a lot of your questions and concerns, this Friday, July 2nd at 7:00 PM.As the price of energy rises, individuals, businesses, and governments will be challenged to stay warm, be cool, run their operations and fleets, and pay the new energy prices without going broke, raising prices, or raising taxes. Are you prepared? One of the biggest challenges will be how to decide which products, services, and strategies will afford them the best value for their money. As demand for "green" rises, vendors who are often new to the concept, inexperienced, and eager to make a profit will flood the market with their wares and well-financed ad campaigns. This could crowd out the most experienced and skilled businesses that have long been around serving what once was a niche market for customers who were the early adapters of the sustainable lifestyle. As the December 31 deadline for the end of the rate caps in the Doylestown area approaches you'll need to know, "What is Green?"The Doylestown First Friday video discussion series has moved to the Doylestown Borough Hall, 57 W. Court Street, FREE ADMISSION Information: 267.992.8020 or (215) 345-4140 -
